July 8, 2014 #2 (Mike's Bo-Jest)

Tonight I was concerned that a little rasping, sanding, and fairing wouldn't accomplish much.  Well I was wrong!!  This really got me into a whole new direction and I got a look at what my hull could look like when I begin to plank!!  VERY EXCITED!!!

I am very happy so far and I am motivated to get this project going in the right direction again.  I was getting worried I would not find my way back to it!!  #shannoniii

Well I FINALLY got some work done on the Shannon III !! This summer has been a little off track due to the Shannon II needing a re-power and repair.  The sheer clamps are almost finished and they only need some sanding and fine tuning before hull planking begins.  Today I am going to reinforce the transom a bit a by adding a couple of layers on the inside.  I will be using a 1970 Evinrude 40Hp to power the Shannon III.  I am very excited the building bug has stung me again so let's see if we can get the side planking started by next week!!

Happy Boating!
