August 22, 2013 (Mike's Bo-Jest)
A couple of months ago after a successful 22 days of getting the Bo-Jest project going and all the frame pieces cut and set the possibilities seemed endless. But fast forward about 3 months and I hadn't made any progress it felt like another project started and another fail. Well I dropped the hammer on myself this week and made it happen!! I got so much done and now I am almost ready to start planking the hull. I just can't believe it I am really moving forward now and look to keep the momentum!! Take a look at my progress on Mike's Bo-Jest.

August 20, 2013 (Mike's Bo-Jest)
This week has been super productive. I have worked and fastened the keel in and I decided to laminate it to make it a bit stringer. I have also fit and and mostly fasted in the sheer clamps as well. I hope to finish the chine logs and bottom battens by the end of the week. Then the fairing process will begin!!

Day #21
The boat now has a name..."The Shannon III" I was back and forth with the name but keeping it in order makes me feel better and keeps up tradition!
Today I was able to finally set the stem up. After this I attached frame #5 to the boat building form. After the stem dries and I attach the breasthooks I will be at a standstill until I purchase more white oak for the chime logs, bottom batten's, and sheer clamps. Day #17
Well lesson learned you have to slow down and be accurate!! Frame #3 was gusseted together in the middle very incorrectly! Thankfully I know how to operate a couple of chisels and a power sander! Just a few wasted nails and a small piece of plywood later...and all better! Frame #3 is finally complete and accurate! Frame #4 is going much, MUCH better!! Would have made more progress but ran out of the West System Six! Marine store stop tomorrow!! Then back on track! Almost time to FINALLY set the frames on the form!!
